| Leslie Helene Smith has been praised for her powerful yet lyric dramatic soprano voice. She performed the role of Lady Billows inAlbert Herring with the Intermezzo Opera Festival of Connecticut in 2004. In July of 2003 she sang Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Other roles have included the Witch in Hansel & Gretel, Mrs. Peachum (The Threepenny Opera) and Katisha (The Mikado). She sang in a series of Verdi opera concerts with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic and the Karlovy Vary Symphony in the Czech Republic in 2001, and has been a soloist with Vocal Arts Ensemble, The Bach Chorale, and Third Millenium, of Ann Arbor, Michigan. | |||||||||||||||||
